Schroeder and...Barbie?!?

Unbeknowest to the public at large, we now believe that Schroeder also got his start on a Barbie Piano. Explains a lot, doesn't it?

Disclaimer: this posting has been revised. My original version referred to the Peanuts character Linus van Pelt, not Schroeder. It was brought to my attention by an alert reader (aka my wife) that Linus is the chap with the blanket, not the piano. Whoops. My bad.

Exciting Development #6

Exciting Development #6 actually rolls together four new skills: language comprehension, non-verbal communication, how to manipulate adults, and how to steal the spotlight.

In short, Trinhity has discovered that when the big people say "giơ tay lên!!" (in English, "hands up!") and she waves her hands in the air like she just don't care, her entire entourage laughs and claps and showers her with praise and attention. She has mastered these skills with terrifying alacrity.

This last one could well be Daddy's favorite shot yet. Altogether now, "Awwww..."

Exciting Development #5 REVEALED!!

Apologies for our long absence. There have been many exciting developments since our last post, and we'll attempt to relate some of those in the near future. In the meantime, there's a bit of unfinished business regarding Exciting Development #5: what, exactly, was it?

Many thanks for the comments! There was one correct answer: alert reader Mai Nguyen noticed that Trinhity was sporting a mohawk. We were thinking more along the lines of simple "bedhead", but it's all good -- we're immensely pleased to report that she now has enough hair to have *a* hairstyle, any hairstyle.

As winner of first prize, Mai will be treated to a crawfish dinner with Trinhity. If ever Mai comes for a visit, that is (hint, hint). ;-)Posted by Picasa
